This day equips every practicing clinician with the necessary knowledge of pulp biology, diagnostic protocols, and the management of deep carious lesions. Participants will develop clinical skills and techniques aimed at preserving pulp vitality using modern bioceramic materials.<br \/>\nHands-on practice includes:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Working on specially designed 3D tooth models on VPT techniques using various bioceramic materials<br \/>\n\u2022 Practicing immediate restorative procedures and cusp coverage after VPT<br \/>\n\u2022 Learning deep margin elevation techniques for subgingival lesions<br \/>\n\u2022 Practicing different apexification techniques and plug techniq on 3D immature prermanent teeth<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2 &amp; Day 3<\/strong><br \/>\nDay 2 and Day 3 are dedicated to the management of Traumatic Dental Injuries (TDI). (Autotransplantation, Decoronation, Orthodontics, Implant placement, Prevention of TDI with sports mouthguards)<br \/>\nTrauma VI: Prevention of Dental Trauma and the Use of Sports Mouthguards<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2<\/strong><br \/>\nDay two is dedicated to providing first aid for all types of dental trauma in the permanent dentition. The primary goal is for clinicians to confidently diagnose and manage any category of dental trauma, accurately identify which tissues are involved, and provide immediate first aid for injuries affecting hard dental tissues, soft tissues, and periodontal tissues.<br \/>\nParticipants will learn how to create an appropriate treatment plan, inform patients about the long-term prognosis, and apply the correct splinting techniques when necessary. Hands-on training will be provided on specially designed 3D jaw models, allowing participants to practice on:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Different repositioning techniques for displaced teeth<br \/>\n\u2022 Reattachment of fractured tooth fragments<br \/>\n\u2022 Esthetic rehabilitation of fractured teeth<br \/>\n\u2022 Suturing of soft tissue injuries<br \/>\n\u2022 Application of various splinting methods<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 3<\/strong><br \/>\nThe third day focuses on understanding the potential post-traumatic complications, depending on the severity of each injury. There will be an in-depth analysis of all possible complications that may arise in the pulp, periodontal tissues, and bone. Emphasis will be placed on:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 When to expect complications such as pulp necrosis, pulp canal obliteration, various types of root resorption or alveolar bone loss after trauma<br \/>\n\u2022 How to correctly diagnose and manage these conditions in a timely manner<\/p>\n<p>This day will also explore an interdisciplinary treatment planning for traumatized patients and the collaborative management between different dental specialties (Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontology, Prosthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Oral Surgery). Between 2010-12 he was clinica instructor in the department of Endodontics at Athens School of Dentistry. In 2013, he was accepted at the 3-year post-graduate program in Endodontics at ACTA University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, which he successfully completed in 2016. From 2016 until today, he has been working in a private practice limited to Endodontics in The Hague, the Netherlands and since 2019 he has returned to Greece and owns a private practice in the center of Athens which specializes exclusively in Endodontics and Dental Traumatology.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Nestor Tzimpoulas is the first Greek dentist who has received the Fellowship Award of the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT) after he successfully passed the examination process in 2021. He has been author and co-author of several peer review international publications and has lectured nationally and internationally on vital pulp therapies, dental trauma and management of immature teeth. He is certified for the translation to Greek language of the official guidelines for the management of traumatic dental injuries published by the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT 2020) and the first aid app for mobile phones ToothSOS. Between 2006 and 2007, she worked at the Dental Clinic of the National Guard in Athens and concurrently served as a scientific associate at the Pediatric Dentistry Department at the Athens Dental School.<\/p>\n<p>In 2007, she was admitted to the 3-year accredited postgraduate program in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Leeds, in United Kingdom, which she successfully completed in 2010. During her specialization at the University of Leeds, she received training in dental prevention and treatment for infants, children, and children with special needs. She worked at Leeds Dental Institute\u2019s organized dental trauma clinic, the sedation and anesthesia clinic, and at Leeds Children&#8217;s Hospital for dental treatment of children under general anesthesia. She obtained a qualification in the clinical management of dental treatment cases using sedation and anesthesia (nitrous oxide). At the same time, she worked as a pediatric dentist at the National Health Service (NHS) in the Barnsley Community Dental Clinic, in Rotherham Primary Care Trust NHS.<\/p>\n<p>She has published scientific papers related to Pediatric Dentistry in national, European, and international conferences. In 2010, she received the \u201cYoung Scientist Research Award\u201d from the European and British Academy of Pediatric Dentistry at a European conference in Harrogate, UK. Her postgraduate thesis, which concerns the prognostic factors and survival of<\/p>\n<p>tooth autotransplantation in children and adolescents after injuries or agenesis, has been published in the international journal Dental Traumatology.<\/p>\n<p>Vasiliki Kafourou has a particular clinical interest in dental trauma in both primary and permanent teeth. She continuously trains in new methods and scientifically documented materials for pulp and hard dental tissue restoration, specifically related to dental treatment for infants, children, and children with special needs.
