This interactive and intensive course is designed for the dentists who wishes to perform his or her endodontic treatments with predictable clinical success, without undue complications.
\n

Each participant has to prepare a training model:<\/span>
\nA. Training Model for MTA plug placement<\/b>
\nAn extracted single rooted tooth in good condition need to be accessed and shaped up to 60\/04. The 3 apical mm need to be resected and a gates gliden 4 need to penetrate the whole length. Take an x-ray and bring it with you. This way you will create an immature root for MTA plug placement<\/p>\n

B. Training Model for Broken instrument removal<\/b>
\nAn extracted mandibular molar, wide access cavity preparation, negotiate the coronal third of the canals with any kind of orifice opener, then make a groove<\/p>\n

C. Training model for perforation repair<\/b>
\nIn the extracted molar with the broken instruments, take a small round bur and make a perforation on the pulp floor. The bigger the perforation the harder to repair it. Take x-ray after perforation.<\/p>\n

D. Training model for obturation materials removal<\/b>
\nAn extracted mandibular molar , wide access cavity preparation, find shape and obturate all canals. One canal need to be filled with thermafil. If thermafil is not available in your office , leave the canal shaped and unfilled. We will fill it for you. If russian red paste is available , you can obturate one canal with the hard paste. (Take x-ray of your model)<\/p>\n

E. Training model for fiber post and screw post removal<\/b>
\nTwo extracted single rooted teeth, shape them and bond a fiber post and a screw post respectively. Composite build up around the post (Take x-ray of your model)<\/p>\n

Chaniotis Antonis is a graduate of the University of Athens Dental School, Greece (1998). In 2003 he completed the three-year postgraduate program in Endodontics at the University of Athens Dental School. Since 2003, he owns a limited to microscopic Endodontics private practice in Athens, Greece. For the last ten years, he served as a clinical instructor affiliated with the undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the University of Athens, Athens Dental School, Endodontic department, Greece.<\/p>\n

In 2012 he was awarded the title of Clinical fellow teacher at the University of Warwick, Warwick dentistry UK. He lectures extensively nationally and internationally and he has published articles in local and international Journals. He serves as an expert lecturer for various websites of on line dental education. Dr. Chaniotis is passionate about video documentation in microscope enhanced Endodontics and believes in the educational power of video presentations.<\/p>\n

He currently serves as an active member of the Hellenic Society of Endodontology ( ESE full member society), an active member of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED), a certified member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) and an international member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE).
