Perio-Prosthetics 15-Day Masterclass Curriculum

Perio-Prosthetics Masterclass Curriculum 2018 | 5 Modules – 15 Days

Welcome Letter

Our effort began with a friendly conversation. We tried to decode the most important needs for the continuing education of clinical dentists. With more than 90 years of total clinical experience and 70 years of comprehensive academic experience, all of us shared a common opinion. One of the most important clinical problems is the restoration of perioprosthetic patients. The presence of periodontal disease complicates every treatment plan, especially when it includes prosthetic restorations.Addressing perioprosthetic patients, requires knowledge and methodology. For these reasons, we designed a series of unique seminars in Greece, combining our experience in continuing dental education with the certified organizing experience of Merimna Institute.

The purpose of this series of seminars is the extensive theoretical and practical education of dentists, in the restoration of perioprosthetic patients. It will be extended to five educational modules of three days each for a total of 15 days. Every module will be equally divided into theoretical and practical parts. Training will be personalized, according to the experience of each participant. At the end of the cycle, each colleague will be able to take over and treat perioprosthetic patients. Seminar topics will include diagnosis and classification of periodontal disease, therapeutic planning and treatment, both conservative and surgical. In what regards Prosthodontics, emphasis will be given to the diagnosis of treatment planning of prosthetic problems and to the therapeutic design according to the prognosis of the teeth.

The peculiarities in each phase of the treatment (preparations, provisional restorations, impressions, etc.) will be analyzed in detail. As far as the practical seminars are concerned, both conservative and surgical techniques will be practiced on special casts and pig-heads. Similar training on specially crafted casts will take place for all types of preparations, for the construction of provisional restorations, for various methods of impressions, etc.

We are expecting you on a journey of knowledge, experience and creation.
