3-Day Masterclass in Vital Pulp Therapy & Dental Trauma

Dates: NOVEMBER 6-7-8, 2026
Tuition fees: 790€

Masterclass Overview

This 3-day MasterClass is separated in 2 main parts. Day 1 is dedicated to contemporary Vital Pulp Therapy (VPT) techniques in advanced carious lesions. This day has been specifically designed to assist every practicing dentist in acquiring all necessary knowledge on pulp biology, diagnosis, deep caries management, tretment planning and developing the appropriate clinical skills and techniques for preserving the vitality of the pulp and apply modern bioceramic materials under operating microscopes. Participants will be able to perform practical excericese on specially designed 3-D models on Vital Pulp Therapies and immediate restorative procedures with various types and forms of contemporary Bioceramic materials and learn deep margin elevation techniques.

Day 2 and Day 3 are dedicated to the management of Traumatic Dental Injuries (TDI).

The management of Traumatic Dental Injuries has been separated in 5 Trauma Modules:

Trauma I: Hard dental tissues injuries (Crown,crown/root,root fractures)
Trauma II: Periodontal and supporting bone injuries (Luxations injuries, Avulsions, Alveolar Fractures)
Trauma III: Soft tissue management in dentoalveolar trauma (Injury Recognition and Clinical Assessment, Principles of First Aid and Emergency Management, Assessment and Management of Chemical Burns, Surgical Suturing Techniques and Wound Closure, Common Complications, Errors, and Technical Failures.)
Trauma IV: Post-traumatic Complications (Pulp necrosis,Obliteration, Resorptions, Alveolar bone loss)
Trauma V: Trauma in Primary Dentition
Trauma VI: Tooth Loss-What’s next?? (Autotransplantation, Decoronation, Orthodontics, Implant placement)
Trauma VII: Prevention of TDI with sports mouthguards

On Day 2 a detailed explanation will be provided on the provision of first aid management for all types of TDI in permanent and primary dentition. The main goal is for the dentist to be able to confidently handle and diagnose each category of TDI separately, recognize which tissues are involved in each injury, inform the patient about the treatment planning and long term prognosis and apply the appropriate splinting technique and management for the patient. Participants will perform practical exercises on specially designed 3-D Jaw-models in the proper repositioning of traumatized teeth, fragment reattachment techniques, suturing of soft tissues, application of various splinting techniques. In the last day, participants will have the opportunity to fully understand and practice the construction of customized individual athletic mouthguards for the prevention of traumatic dental injuries. A particularly important subsection is the management of soft tissues in dentoalveolar injuries.

Day 3 will focus on comprehensive understaning the possible post-traumatic complications according to the severity of each injury. Complications to the pulp, periodontal tissues and the bone will be presented and participants will have the opportunity to explore and learn when to expect complications after TDI and how to properly and timely diagnose and manage them. This day will focus on the the interdisciplinary treatment planning of traumatized patients and how different specialties (such as Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics Pediatric dentistry and Prosthodontics) collaborate for the proper management of traumatized patients and their complications.

The aim of this comprehensive Masterclass is for the dentist, through a series of lectures, hands-on activities, and discussions on simple as well as complex cases, to be able to choose the most appropriate treatment having practiced and acquired the ability to clinically apply all modern

techniques as well as contempoary bioceramic materials. Furthermore, they should be able to confidently provide first aid for any dental trauma case that may come in their clinic. The seminar covers a wide range of topics from prevention treatment and restorative rehabilitation of teeth with deep caries. It also aims to provide the latest guidelines for effective and up to date interdisciplinary management of traumatic dental injuries and complications.
